The Internal Auditor will be responsible for conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) within the company’s operations.

The role involves evaluating processes, identifying risks, and driving continuous improvement across business operations. The role will support the Quality Systems Manager in maintaining and improving the Integrated Management System (IMS), identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring continuous compliance with relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, schedule, and execute internal audits in accordance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards.
  • Identify non-conformities, risks, and opportunities for improvement and work with process owners to identify root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work with departments, including site operations, procurement and support functions to ensure the integration of quality, environmental, health & safety, and energy management principles into daily operations.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Monitor and track corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ISO compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date audit records, reports, and documentation in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up to date with changes in ISO standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions on ISO standards, processes, and best practices to internal teams.
  • Support the Quality Systems Manager in risk assessment, legal compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist the Quality Systems Manager in the development and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
  • Assist in the development, review, and update of policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with ISO standards.
  • Support in the preparation and facilitation of external audits and certification body assessments.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as an Internal Auditor or similar role within the housebuilding, construction, or related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 50001 standards and auditing processes.
  • Understanding of risk assessment and compliance management within a housebuilding environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
