What You’ll Do

As a Purchase Ledger Junior, you will:

  • Match Invoices to Purchase Orders and create new purchase orders as needed
  • Manually Input purchase ledger invoices into our BC system, handling high volumes with accuracy
  • Create New Suppliers and update supplier details in BC, maintaining strict document control for your assigned ledger
  • Resolve Invoice Queries by liaising with suppliers via phone and email
  • Assist with Preparing BACS Files
  • Support Statement Reconciliations to ensure accuracy of ledger balances
  • Collaborate with the Team on a variety of finance tasks to keep operations running smoothly

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who has:

  • Maths and English GCSEs (or equivalent)
  • Strong IT Skills (Microsoft Office proficiency is an advantage)
  • Excellent Communication and Organisational skills to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the business.
  • An ability to work to deadlines and remain positive under pressure.
  • Confidence dealing with numbers and a genuine interest in finance.
  • Experience in finance or accounting (e.g., invoice processing) would be a plus.
