Project Supervisor - Remote with Travel - £45,196 - £61,833
About The Role
We have exciting opportunities for Project Supervisors (Electrical) to lead electrical engineering projects across hazardous area installations throughout the UK. This is a home-start role with travel to various sites.
National Gas owns and operates the National Transmission System (NTS), comprising over 7,600km of high-pressure natural gas pipelines, terminals, compressor stations, and above-ground installations (AGIs).
As a Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering capital projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of investment projects, from definition through to delivery and closure, ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.
What we're looking for:
We’re seeking individuals with strong experience in electrical installations across industrial and commercial settings, particularly within hazardous environments. You’ll be confident managing contractors, ensuring safety compliance, and driving project progress on site.
You’ll also bring:

What we're looking for:
We’re seeking individuals with strong experience in electrical installations across industrial and commercial settings, particularly within hazardous environments. You’ll be confident managing contractors, ensuring safety compliance, and driving project progress on site.
You’ll also bring:
- A solid understanding of power distribution systems, Ex-rated equipment, and standby power systems.
- Experience working to COMPEX standards.
- Knowledge of Safe Control of Operations (SCO/91 & SCO/94) and EL/96 procedures.
- Strong project delivery and team leadership skills.
- Familiarity with NEC contract types and CDM regulations.
- HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- EUSR trained or equivalent safety passport.
- Proven experience in contract/project management.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and practices.
- Experience with ISO 10723, BS7671, BS EN 60079, and BS 6739 standards.
- Ideally supported by qualifications in Health, Safety, Environmental, or Financial management.
