Summary: We are seeking dedicated Admin Volunteers to help keep our solidarity funds independent and community-run. This vital role ensures the smooth operation of our financial aid, directly supporting our mission to provide resources to those with low or no income in West End, Newcastle. This is a low-commitment, high-impact position, requiring just one hour of your time per month.
What success in this position looks like: Success in this role means consistently completing core administrative tasks accurately and on time, ensuring that our funds are managed effectively and transparently. Your contribution will directly support our members, enabling them to access the resources they need and strengthening the community-led nature of our organisation.
How this role fits into the organisation: This volunteer role is a cornerstone of our operational structure. By managing the administrative aspects of our solidarity funds, you are directly supporting the "direct action" that Food & Solidarity is built upon. This position is crucial for maintaining the independence and community focus of our work, allowing us to continue serving our members democratically and efficiently.
Responsibility
- Process and document fund-related administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain clear and organised records of financial activities for the solidarity funds.
- Communicate with team members and fund recipients as needed to facilitate the distribution of funds.
- Collaborate with other volunteers to ensure the effective and transparent management of funds.
