Join our team as a Project Engineer with initial remit to support various work packages as part of our new NDP facility and help drive excellence and efficiency in our capital investment programs.
About The Role
As a Project Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our capital projects, managing specific projects or work packages, and contributing to a small portfolio of projects. Your role will involve delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while adhering to CAPEX governance and project management processes. Your technical expertise will guide the successful execution of engineering solutions that meet our rigorous compliance and safety standards.

About The Role

Engineering Leadership
What will you be doing…
- Provide technical leadership in your area of engineering bias (process, mechanical, or electrical).
- Ensure compliance with internal and external standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct technical appraisals to identify feasible engineering solutions.
- Lead design reviews and generate technical documents, such as User Requirement Specifications and Technical Specifications.
- Lead and manage project work packages, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Operate as part of the wider project engineering team with strong communication skills.
- Engage site personnel to incorporate requirements and preferences into project execution.
- Coordinate with vendors for design reviews, fabrication, installation, and testing activities (FAT/SAT).
- Support and execute commissioning and qualification activities.
- Ensure completed projects are handed over smoothly to key stakeholders.
- Identify and promote innovative solutions and process improvements.
- Perform problem-solving to identify root causes of failures and eliminate repeat offenses.
- Adhere to current GMP requirements for sterile medicinal products.
- Develop Quality Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate risks throughout project stages.
- Ensure all training is up to date and documented.
- Take ownership of safety and environmental considerations for new systems.
- Manage safe equipment startup, shutdown, and job control practices.
- Raise any Health and Safety concerns to your line manager or EHS team.
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Professional qualification/association with IChemE, IMechE, ISPE, or similar is preferred.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Project management and engineering best practices withing a cGMP or regulated environment
- Understanding of Engineering design processes.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing process equipment and utility systems (preferred).
