Project Director Major Civil Engineering Projects

This role will have responsibility for overseeing technical and financial performance of all technical teams delivering projects in the UK and across the world.

Key Duties:

• Taking the lead and overseeing all project planning relating to, programme and financial management, risk, budgets,and technical performance
• Being a trusted client advisor, and leading external team management and coordination
• Representing Buro Happold to clients
• Overseeing the technical management and performance of Buro Happold teams
• Complying with all Buro Happold quality management systems
  
  
  

Your Skills and Experience:

• Strong technical background in civil infrastructure design
• A good communicator - able to engage with a variety of audiences specifically at a senior level with client and collaborator organisations.
• Experience setting up and running multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure and/or masterplanning projects including overseeing financial, and technical performance, and creating and managing programmes, both in the UK and overseas
• Experience in managing programmes in terms of identifying risks and mitigation, together with managing changing priorities
• Senior project experience in running external teams the UK and internationally and managing expectations
• Previous experience leading fee estimates and proposals, and negotiating T&Cs
• Professional Membership of a levant professional body.
