Project & Asset Manager
Severn Trent
Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Derby
Contract type: Full time

Our purpose is taking care of life’s essentials, but we’re also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care.
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Project & Asset Manager to join our team at Raynesway. This is a unique opportunity to take on a dual-role position that combines strategic asset management with hands-on project delivery. You’ll be part of the Chief Engineer Project Management team, helping to shape the future of our wastewater infrastructure.
In this role, you’ll lead our critical sewer CCTV programme and manage our company-wide CCTV sewer survey database. Alongside this, you’ll support the delivery of key initiatives such as WINEP and flooding programmes, helping to identify investment needs and improve asset understanding. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, this is a chance to make a real impact across the business.
Are you confident managing large datasets and ensuring data quality and integrity?
Do you have experience coordinating programmes of work across multiple teams and stakeholders?
If so, then read on.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
You’ll be responsible for delivering programmes that support our environmental and flooding strategies, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with business goals. You’ll work with contractors, manage budgets, and maintain oversight of our capital investment programme. You’ll support governance processes, and ensure smooth handovers to our Capital Delivery team.
As part of your asset management responsibilities, you’ll take ownership of our CCTV sewer survey database, ensuring data quality and accessibility across the business. You’ll coordinate incoming data, validate it, and respond to requests from internal teams. You’ll also lead the delivery of our sewer CCTV programme, working with regional teams to manage timelines, budgets, and outputs that inform future investment decisions.
You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, define responsibilities clearly, and explore opportunities for partnership working. You’ll document CDM roles and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle and support post-project reviews.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
We’re looking for someone with a real drive to make a positive difference. You’ll have strong engineering experience within the wastewater sector and a solid understanding of sewer networks and CCTV survey processes. You’ll be confident working with large datasets and have a strong working knowledge of InfoAsset Manager (formerly InfoNet), ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and accessible. Strong experience with other GIS packages may also be considered.
You’ll bring solid project management experience, ideally within infrastructure or utilities. You’ll know how to manage programmes from start to finish, keeping them on track, within budget, and aligned with business goals. You’ll be comfortable working with contractors, coordinating teams, and ensuring outputs meet the required standards.
You’ll be creative and strategic, able to adapt to changing priorities and conflicting demands. You’ll communicate clearly and confidently, and depending on your level, you’ll be able to inspire and support others. Experience with project management tools like MS Project is helpful, and a full UK driving licence is essential.
Most importantly, you’ll bring positivity, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset. If you care about doing a great job and want to help shape the future of our wastewater infrastructure, we’d love to hear from you.
