About The Role

We are looking to hire an experienced PMO analyst to join our small but expanding PMO team. You will be responsible for providing a professional and proactive data analysis support function to our team of Project/Programme Managers, ensuring all Projects and Programmes are on track to deliver within time/cost/quality parameters. You will work closely with project teams to gather, analyse, and monitor project data, as well as taking a leading role in the preparation of project status reports.

Responsibilities


  • Identifying and implementing common, consistent project data sets.
  • Gathering and analysing project data to identify weaknesses or inconsistencies, and work with the respective PMs to implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Playing a lead role in the development and maintenance of Company-wide Integrated Resource Planning.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within existing project data and associated tools and processes, and develop implementation plans to address these.
  • Independent monitoring of Projects and Programmes and actively supporting the PMs to address issues or risks in a timely fashion, and to ensure consistency of reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with Company standards and policies with respect to Project/Programme Management and identifying opportunities for improvement within those standards and policies.
  • Liaising with project team members and providing suggestions or solutions to unforeseen issues when needed.
  • Working with PMs to prepare routine and ad-hoc project status reports for management review.
  • Developing and maintaining company/portfolio level dashboard reports on project performance.
  • Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner.
  • Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
  • When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.
  • Perform other duties as required


Qualifications

About You

Essential


  • A recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ or equivalent e.g. PRINCE2.


Desirable


  • A Bachelor's degree in Project Management
  • Certified Change management Professional


Skills and competencies

Essential:


  • Strong experience operating within a PMO function.
  • Excellent working knowledge of project management strategies, processes, and tools.
  • Ability to analyse a range of complex data and make or recommend courses of action based on analytical findings.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, working across multiple departments both internally and externally.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience of MS toolset, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong program coordination and administration abilities.


Desirable:


  • Experience within a regulated industry is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar business information visualisation tools would be advantageous.

  • Must be a British Citizen or have an existing right to work in the UK
  • Ability to commit to occasional national and international travel
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure and as a self-starter.
  • Enthusiasm for their work and self-motivated
  • Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5/10 years residence in the UK
