Production Engineering Manager

Production Manager / Workshop Manager with sheet metal fabrication experience. Luton.

Circa GBP 45K basic plus annual bonus, pension, free on:site parking.

We are seeking on behalf of our Client an experienced Production Manager/Workshop Manager to join their workforce on a permanent basis. Suitable candidates are likely to be time served and have experience in sheet metal fabrication, including with stainless steel, welding, and CNC press and laser cutting machines. Ideally you will have experience of working with a wide variety of fabricated products and manufacturing, including marking, cutting, welding. Machine programming ability is a distinct advantage, as would be experience with specific machinery by Trumpf and or Amada. In addition you will have experienced in implementing improvements and efficiencies. Previous supervisory and management responsibility is essential. This is a salaried position and will carry a bonus in addition plus other benefits. Normal hours of work Monday to Friday 7.30 a.m. : 4.00 p.m. some extra hours will occasionally be required.

Basic Responsibilities

• Running of the Workshop, adhering to production schedules.
• Manage staff and productivity to maximise efficiencies.
• Manage quality of finished product.
• Machine Programming Trumpf/Amada
• Ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
