Who Are We?

Located in vibrant Horsham, Breathe isn't your typical SaaS business. But there's more to it – our work culture is award-winning, with talented people committed to driving impact while having fun together. We're proud of our track record of success, but we're even more excited about what the future holds for us.

Our Values: What We Live By

People First: Every decision we make is about our people. We ARE the people-first company.

Be Better Tomorrow: Every day, we challenge ourselves to learn, grow, and improve—individually and as a team.

Strive with Impact: Every action we take makes a difference—to our employees, our customers, and our business.

Seek Out Efficiency: We scale smart. We innovate. We find ways to work better, not harder.

Why is this role important?

Are you passionate about turning complex user problems into beautiful, intuitive, and high-performing digital experiences? This is a pivotal, highly collaborative role where you will be the champion of user-centric design across our core product suite. You will own the entire design process, from initial discovery and user research through to high-fidelity prototyping and launch. If you thrive on autonomy, enjoy working in a fast-paced SaaS environment, and want to see your designs directly impact user adoption and business success, this is your opportunity to truly define the product experience.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Design Ownership: Lead the design process for key product features, spanning discovery, ideation, user flow mapping, wireframing, and creating high-fidelity prototypes (using tools like Figma/Sketch).
  • Deep User Advocacy: Conduct and synthesise robust qualitative and quantitative user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to deeply understand user needs, pain points, and behaviours, ensuring all designs are backed by evidence.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work in tight collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, and Stakeholders to define requirements, refine specifications, and ensure technical feasibility while maintaining a high bar for design quality.
  • Design System Contribution: Champion and contribute significantly to the evolution and maintenance of our centralised Design System, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all product touchpoints.
  • Measure and Iterate: Design and execute A/B tests and usability studies to validate hypotheses. Use data and metrics (e.g., usage rates, task completion) to rigorously evaluate design performance and drive continuous iteration.
  • Visual and Interaction Excellence: Deliver exceptional visual design, interaction patterns, and micro-interactions that elevate the overall user experience and reflect our brand identity.
  • Maintain awareness of and be compliant with information security protocols in relation to your job role and handling of any data.

What we value for this role

  • The Right Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in a Product Designer, UX Designer, or similar role, preferably within a B2B or SaaS environment.
  • Technical Design Mastery: Expert proficiency with Figma and a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design solutions is essential.
  • UX/UI Rigour: Deep understanding of user-centred design principles, information architecture, and common design patterns, with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly and persuasively.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of influencing product direction and clearly communicating design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Data & Metrics Focus: Experience incorporating data analysis, usability findings, and business metrics directly into the design process to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Mindset Matters: A highly proactive and empathetic designer with a curious mind. You thrive in a collaborative environment, are comfortable with ambiguity, and possess a persistent desire to ship high-quality, impactful products.
