This position is part of the Discovery and Medical business unit EHS team located primarily in Newquay with some travel to other sites involved and will be based on site.

The Process Safety Leader for Cytiva is responsible for

• Leadership experience delivering a risk-based Process Safety Management system at an upper tier UK COMAH or EU SEVESO site.
• To own and drive the Process Safety Management (PSM) system within Cytiva`s Discovery and Medical`s business units four sites with a primary objective of supporting our Newquay site with some travel involved to the other sites
• To manage the Process Safety Management program implementation and continuous improvement including sustainment. Active Involvement expected in all HAZOP assessments and to manage the continuous improvement action plans emanating from the HAZOPS`s.
  
  

What you will do:

• To champion a culture of Process Safety Excellence and drive the Process Safety Management Program.
  
  

Who you are:

• 10+ years of experience in Process Safety Management,
• Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering
• Facilitate process safety risk assessments and help develop safety operating practices to support plant operations.
• Provide technical leadership and support to identify hazards, assess risks and provide cost efficient management solutions.
• Develop and deliver process safety training programs for staff. Act as a coach, mentor to site leaders and relevant associates.
• Lead investigations into process safety incidents and ensure compliance with all relevant process safety legislation and the Cytiva PSM standards
  
  

Travel Requirements:

• Travel 10-20% within the D + M four sites.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
