EPW24 on 4 off - 2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights. JOB TITLE: Process OperatorDIVISION: Window Systems DivisionSITE LOCATION: Stafford Park - TelfordJob Purpose:The Process Operator will be responsible for the monitoring of the extrusion process andproduct quality assigned to them by their Team Manager, whilst contributing to theoverall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing function.Key Accountabilities:

  • Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standardoperational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health,Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleaguesand contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect anddignity.
  • Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporateimage or bringing the company into disrepute.
  • Promote and Display the Epwin Core Values.Key Experiences and Skills Required:
  • Monitor and record the required process parameters at the required times.
  • Carry our relevant checks on assigned products as required by the product qualityplan.
  • Record scrap information. Segregate all non-conforming product from goodproduction.
  • Communicate information via the relevant communication channels.
  • Record all required information for all operations as per company worksinstructions/procedures.
  • Alert relevant people to process and product concerns.
  • Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by theTeam Manager and the training plan.
  • Safeguard property issued by the company.
  • Shutdown extrusion machine (include emergency shutdown).
  • Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures followedassociated with tasks.
  • Low level maintenance tasks when required.
  • Fault rectification and problem solving (low level)
  • Transfer the knowledge and skills among the team (others).Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Good ability with Microsoft software.
  • Good / Strong communication skills.Performance Measures
  • Attendance.
  • Competence audits.
  • Development of skills and competence in line with the training plan.Personal Attributes:
  • Clean, neat and tidy approach to work.
