Role description:

As part of the growth of the Arcadis Digital Advisory team; there is a need for a Principal Consultant to lead on the delivery of digital client projects/commissions and support the development of the Digital Asset Advisory team. Digital Asset Advisory sits within Digital Advisory

This role is a delivery and client facing role with responsibility for managing the delivery of projects and workstreams, supporting the growth of the Digital Advisory capability, and supporting the pursuit of Digital Asset Advisory opportunities within the FM space.

Role accountabilities:

  • Generates high margin and consulting sales by identifying and/or selling and/or delivering propositions which includes an element of sector core services.
  • Service leads exceptional client outcomes across multiple, complex capability areas and commissions.
  • Highlights Arcadis thought leadership to the business and clients.
  • Champions diversity and inclusion, well-being and embeds within Business Advisory.
  • Makes a positive difference in the world and improve quality of life.
  • Pro-actively supports Community / Non-project initiatives that positively impact Business Advisory's ability to retain and attract top talent.
  • Financial Accountability: Timely completion of time sheets / Sales pipeline updates
  • Sales Target: Directly delivers ~£500k fees generated from identification and conversion of sell-on/new opportunities, bid support etc.
  • Project Accountability: Lead and deliver workstreams and/or small-medium size projects (of up to 4 - 6 people). Achieves and sets project objectives and stretch objectives for individuals as defined for each project via project appraisals
  • Promotes Arcadis’ values and behaviours and upholds a high-level of professionalism and integrity
  • Line Management Responsibilities: Manages up to 3 - 4 people.
  • Utilisation target: 90%

Qualifications & Experience:

Consulting

  • Experience in managing diverse stakeholder groups and fostering effective relationships, including executives, clients, team members, and external partners.
  • Knowledge and understanding of change management approaches, methodologies, and tools to aid in assessing and delivering change and transformation.
  • Proven ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and persuasively in verbal interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to craft clear, coherent, and compelling written communications, including reports, emails, presentations, and documentation, to convey complex information, ideas, and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage projects or workstreams with a team of up to 4 - 6 people and ensure excellent quality deliverables and outcomes.
  • Proven experience in quickly identifying client challenges and providing strategic direction and advise to implement improvements and change to deliver outcomes and benefits.

Commercial and Sales

  • Experience in identifying, developing, and converting a pipeline of sales opportunities for business growth.
  • Proven ability in leading the delivery of projects or large workstreams to achieve commercial success through effective management, planning, and achieving financial targets.
  • Experience in supporting business development and sales growth through growing/expanding existing commissions, writing and presenting proposals, and supporting bids.

People

  • Experience in fostering a collaborative environment for your team and colleagues through the building of genuine relationships, prioritising wellbeing, and creating a culture of respect.
  • Experience in supporting others in their personal growth, career development, and managing performance through mentoring, coaching, and/or line management.

Technical (Digital FM Advisory)

  • Experience of working in one or more industry sectors relevant to Arcadis, such as buildings, central government, local government, defence etc.
  • Knowledge and a working understanding of data standards for Facilities Management, such as ISO 19650, FMS002 etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding in the use and capabilities of enterprise asset management (EAM), facilities management (CAFM), and/or maintenance management systems (CMMS) typically used within industry (e.g. SAP, Maximo, Ellipse, Concept etc).
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset management and/or facilities management principles and practices (e.g. ISO 55000, ISO 41000, BESA, or SFG20 etc)
  • Proven ability in capturing an organisation's As-Is system architecture and developing a To-Be system architectures, using proven approaches, methodologies and tools.
  • Proven ability in defining and establishing governance, standards, and strategies to improve an organisation's information management practices.
  • Experience in delivering or working in technology implementations and/or digital transformation programmes from conception through to deployment.
  • Proven ability in utilising business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering and process mapping, to identify business needs and translate them into technology or data requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (Desirable)
  • Qualification/certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP or BSC) is a plus. (Desirable)
