Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, our Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?

In this hands-on role, you’ll make a real impact by diagnosing and fixing a variety of mechanical and electrical faults with precision and efficiency.

You’ll Identify, diagnose, and rectify all types of mechanical and electrical faults to keep operations running smoothly.

We will provide you with a PDA device to log your work and ensure daily electronic records are accurate and up to date.

You’ll carry out both minor and major repair tasks as directed, delivering quality outcomes every time.

Also, you’ll maintain open and effective communication with the workshop team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

We’d ask you to uphold M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions' `Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality` (SHEQ) policies and procedures by adopting safe working practices. Ensure all jobs are logged and completed accurately on your electronic devices.

This position is ideal for someone like you who takes pride in precision, teamwork, and maintaining high standards across every task.

What You’ll Bring

  • Fully qualified plant technician to a minimum of NVQ2 or equivalent through a wealth of experience
  • Experience of working on plant
  • Competent use of company IT and diagnostic tooling
  • Driving Licence
