Static Band 5 MSK Physiotherapist: Full-time, Torbay Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 5 Physiotherapist to join the Torbay and South Devon NHS Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy service. This development post, based at Torbay Hospital, is an ideal opportunity for a physiotherapist returning to practice or joining the NHS for the first time, who wishes to develop their diagnostic, clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills further, or a current Band 5 physiotherapist who would like to gain more in-depth experience and skills in MSK Physiotherapy.

Our innovative MSK physiotherapy service offers rapid access, self-referral and the well-established Single Point of Access (SPoA) pathways from physiotherapy into orthopaedics for patients with hip, knee and spinal conditions.

CPD is at the forefront of our service, ensuring we offer high quality care to our patients. Support and development includes a preceptorship scheme, clinical supervision and access to a wide range of development opportunities. We host external courses, provide funding for training and deliver service wide training events to support your CPD.

Our Trust aims to provide high quality, safe health and social care in the right place, at the right time to support the people of Torbay and South Devon to live their lives to the full. The physiotherapy service is integral to ensuring this statement of purpose is delivered to our communities. This gives unequalled scope for joint working, skill sharing and learning in a supportive environment.

Why work with us - Torbay Hospital provides acute care for the local community and has several community hospitals, and is a hot-spot for those who are considering living by the sea or within half an hour of Dartmoor National Park and an hour to Exmoor National Park. Meanwhile, Plymouth and Exeter are also both within a short drive to enjoy the culture, maritime history and shopping experiences.
