Permanent

Full time 37.5 hours per week

Salary £51,700 - £64,600 depending on experience + 10% Bonus

The role

Brilliant opportunity for an experienced, strategic (yet hands on) Paid Social Media Manager to create and drive our digital marketing strategy and delivery roadmap across all social media channels.

Working to achieve targets alongside multiple stakeholders, with the support of your team you’ll manage relationships with internal marketing customers and external technology partners and platform owners such as Meta, LinkedIn and more.

How You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Bupa in-house paid social media team
  • Line management of 3 direct reports
  • Be responsible for the shaping and implementation of the paid social strategy for brand and business units to deliver commercial performance, engagement, reach and growth
  • Own the measurement of our paid social media campaign, platform, channel and account performance across the business units, namely consumer PMI, SME Insurance, Pay as You Go healthcare and Care Services, with the addition of Brand level paid promotion
  • Own and oversee the output from the team including administration, execution, budgetary control, reporting, research, analysis, channel management, technical roadmaps and drive the delivery of this critical channel for the business
  • Optimise for through funnel opportunity from paid social advertising and promotion, from awareness through preference and into conversion to promote our brand and products and services in a way that drives and delivers valuable new prospect volume across the business
  • Work closely with our media buying agency to ensure alignment on execution of media plans and strategy
  • Quantify the opportunity to drive incremental, profitable volume for all business units and brand.
  • Own horizon scanning to ensure we’re at the forefront of the latest technical, channel and platform developments across the paid social media landscape.
  • Leverage technology where applicable to drive efficiencies in output, team ownership of opportunities and capitalisation on demand

You

  • Significant, demonstrable experience in paid social media is essential.
  • Expertise gained within a Digital Marketing agency would be ideal
  • A proactive team manager, skilled at leading and developing direct reports.
  • Evidence of a commercial mindset and numerical confidence in all aspects of paid social media
  • Experience delivering short-, medium- and long-term plans to optimise social media performance
  • The ability to communicate across the business to junior, senior, expert and novice stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering commercial growth through sound paid social management and delivery
  • Experience working in a matrix structure with multiple stakeholders across varied work disciplines
  • Experience using appropriate paid social media technology to support performance outcomes
  • The ability to design data collection requirements, obtain, manipulate and collate to drive insights for the business
  • Expert in briefing in work to internal teams and seeing work through to completion in an organised and tenacious manner
  • Experience leveraging paid social technology within digital marketing to support activation, innovation and change
  • Knowledge of web analytics / measurement in digital marketing and a sound grasp of broader digital marketing tactics
  • Industry recognised qualifications linked to the paid social specialism would be great.
  • Sound understanding of customer trends, identifying opportunities and briefing changes to drive customer and business outcomes
