We are looking for a Drainage Assistant (Civils) to join our growing team of service engineers. You’ll be working alongside our other service engineers across a large number of our commercial client sites across the North West, the Midlands, & North Wales.

This is a fully remote role and requires a full UK driving licence.

This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have previous drainage experience and will be familiar with assisting in a drain survey team. They will have knowledge of using pushrod cameras and crawler camera systems, have knowledge of basic maintenance for pushrod cameras and crawler camera systems, and can carry out high-pressure water jetting tasks (where required).

Ideally you will hold the relevant competencies, but where training gaps are evident or where refresher courses are needed, we will offer full support and training will be provided.

Hours & Location of Work: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.30pm - 42.5 hour working week

Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients sometimes require "out of hours" work and early starts/late finishes and weekend working are to be expected.

This is a fully mobile role covering the North West, the Midlands, & North Wales.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Minimum 1 years’ drainage experience
  • Working knowledge of drainage systems
  • Confident problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations

Desirable (training will be provided):

  • Manual handling
  • First Aid
  • Confined Space entry certified
  • Asbestos Awareness Certified
  • CSCS Card
  • Working knowledge of unblocking drainage systems

Responsibilities include:

  • Working on commercial and industrial sites assisting with carrying out drain surveys and carrying out the basic maintenance of CCTV survey equipment.
  • Providing accurate timesheet information to designated timeframes
  • Supporting drainage and contract teams with meeting SLAs by attending client premises within the desired time frame
  • Supporting Thermatic with maintaining positive client relationships through on-site interactions with representative and customers of our clients
  • Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes.
