What You’ll Do

We are currently seeking an exceptional sales professional to join our dynamic and dedicated Fire Systems sales team as an Outside Sales Engineer.

As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for building and executing a business plan to achieve short- and long-term sales success in your territory. To succeed, we expect you to be a value seller who's passionate about building strong customer relationships and identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.

  • Building a business plan for short- and long-term sales success across our System Partners as well as highlighting opportunities within our Specialist Distribution Partners
  • Integrating that plan utilising existing contacts as well as networking to build a portfolio of further contacts containing decision makers, influencers, branch managers, sales staff & territory sales managers to grow the overall business.
  • Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities across the UK&I that can be developed whether in existing accounts or new opportunities.
  • Driving sales growth and ensuring sales, profit and margin targets are achieved in line with overall business objectives.
  • Developing pipeline and sales resilience across target market sectors (MRO & Specialist Distribution) and manage via CRM.
  • Utilising internal tools & systems to track & report weekly progress toward individual and team sales goals.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers, understanding their needs and requirements and providing them with relevant product and product knowledge and addressing any questions or concerns
  • Keeping up to date on industry trends and market conditions and reporting back to the business key changes
  • Focusing on key activities to drive collaboration and partnership within your account base.
  • Being motivated by continuous improvement and striving to constantly exceed customer expectations.
  • Being able to interpret the data and making recommendations on how we should adapt, based on what we are seeing


Qualifications



  • Industry and product knowledge would be of benefit.


Skills

  • Good understanding of British Standards, Fire Systems, EVCS & associated systems.
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience.
  • Results-driven and accountable, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in virtual/digital communication tools such as email, chat, and video conferencing because many customers now prefer digital communication.
  • Ability to use data to drive sales strategies and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales-related software to manage customer relationships and track sales progress.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Being a person is a team player, consultative, solution & detail orientated, confident presenter, driven, result orientated, with a digital mindset.
  • Having strong organization & time management skills
  • Ability to work from home if needed, because we offer flexible working hours and home office options.
