This role will be reporting to the Great Britain Area Manager and will sit within the GB Operational Management team. This function is responsible for the efficient running of all field operations, planning and operational support services such as Fleet, Training, Cost management etc. The department is at the forefront of the green energy transition engaging with key industry stakeholders and operating some of the largest windfarms in the UK/IE. The department engages with the whole of the wider Vestas network and the candidate will gain firsthand experience of operating within that matrix organisation gaining a full understanding of Vestas operates.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Working with internal stakeholders to support field operations in achieving our contractual obligations and improve site performance through better decision making
  • Support with the project management of key large scale activities or site wide roll out of performance enhancing recommendations and improvement plans
  • Support Area Manager with compliance, general governance and initiative execution across the field and dispatching functions to drive business improvement and optimisation
  • Utilising platforms such as PowerBI, SAP and Salesforce for reporting and data analysis as and when required to support the Area Manager and department to achieve its objectives
  • Engage with the wider Vestas business to collaborate on business improvement activities and better collaboration across the organisation
  • Lead key cost control activities and facilitate a commercially aware culture throughout the operational department
  • Support new site onboarding, End of Warranty and contract termination walk downs as and when required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Project Management, Business Management or similar
  • Ideally have experience from within the wind industry
  • Experience of using SAP, PowerBI and salesforce in an operational environment
  • Experience working within a matrix organisation across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Practical experience in applying LEAN and Kaizen principles to streamline processes and facilitate continuous improvement is highly valued
