A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified Occupational Hygienist to to join Rolls-Royce Plc. You will be a key member of a cross functional team and be involved with long term projects that will protect worker health.
Ideally this role would be based at one of our main facility locations at Derby or Bristol. You will also be required to travel throughout the UK as required.

What You Will Be Doing
- Providing expert occupational hygiene and health risk management advice to operational and health & safety teams
- Visiting Rolls-Royce sites throughout the UK to audit and assess processes and controls
- Promoting health initiatives to support the HSE strategy (Journey to Zero Harm) within Rolls-Royce
- Liaising with external consultant partners on assessment projects
- Developing training resources
- Supporting the Rolls-Royce Chemical Management System

- Educated to degree level in a scientific discipline with a recognised post-graduate occupational hygiene qualification or equivalent professional qualification.
- Certification from (or working towards) chartered membership of an international hygiene body, such as the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS), Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH) or the American Board of Industrial Hygienists (ABIH).
- Significant experience working as an occupational hygienist. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment or similar (oil, gas, chemicals) would be advantageous.
- Strong leadership qualities with advanced analytical, inter-personal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of HSE management software such as Benchmark, Cority, Intelex, would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with asbestos surveys, management of Hazardous Substances, Air / Fume / Odour Monitoring, Noise and Vibration Monitoring, Water Hygiene Services, Heat Stress Evaluation, Toxicology and Legionella awareness will support our health risk profile.
