We’re looking for a forward-thinking and strategic leader to head up our MultiWorks team, which includes both design and project management functions. This is a key leadership position focused on driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, delivering high-quality projects, and fostering the development of the MultiWorks team.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead and manage the MultiWorks team overseeing both design and project delivery to ensure alignment with budgets and company standards. They will play a key role in strategic planning to drive performance and profitability, while ensuring compliance with LPS 1048 and hosting external audits as required.
Working closely with the Co-Managing Directors, they will maintain robust contracting procedures and assign projects effectively across design and site teams. Regular site visits will be undertaken to ensure installations meet design specifications, and the role will include hands-on project management tasks such as client liaison, cost control, and documentation.
Leading departmental meetings, and contributing to wider management discussions. In addition, they will oversee HR functions including appraisals, staff development, and performance management, while consistently promoting company values and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
The MultiWorks Manager will play an active role within the management structure, helping to foster a positive culture and working environment. They will be responsible for the full spectrum of people management within the department, including overseeing engineers, conducting appraisals, managing disciplinaries and grievances, and supporting staff development and training.
A key part of the role involves monitoring and evaluating performance, managing departmental budgets, and forecasting future resource needs. The Multiworks Manager will set both short- and long-term goals aligned with company objectives, and will be expected to motivate and inspire the team while supporting individual growth. Maintaining high levels of productivity, promoting the effective use of company policies and systems, and leading by example are essential. The successful candidate will be expected to represent the company positively, proactively address challenges, and lead the department in achieving strategic goals.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven leadership in design and project management within fire protection or similar industry
- Proven and effective people leadership, development and design
- Strategic planning, team leadership, AutoCAD proficiency, budget management, stakeholder communication
- Sprinkler standards (LPC BS EN 12845:2015, NFPA 13, FM Global), Health & Safety, Environmental compliance
- Independent judgment, integrity, diligence, motivational leadership
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
