Job Overview

This is a newly created role to support the Multiple Sclerosis (MS team). The post holder will play a vital part in supporting the efficient running of the MS service with particular focus on the launch and coordination of our new Fampridine service. The role will also provide administrative coordination and support to the MS Multi- disciplinary team ( MDT) ensuring the smooth delivery of high quality care to our patients

Main duties of the job

Provide administrative support to the MS team using advanced IT skills and software programmes

Manage patient flow through the MS service tracking appointments and pathways

Schedule blood monitoring appointments for patients receiving Disease modifying treatments ( DMT)

Cover for the DMT coordinator in times of annual leave

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of booking systems such as WPAS
  • Experience in preparation of agendas, collation of reports and minute taking.
  • Knowledge of the full range of administrative and organisational policies and procedures, acquired through training and relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail

Desirable criteria

  • EDCL
  • Working knowledge WCCIS/Epex
  • Experience of developing reports and correspondence
  • Experience of setting up and interrogating databases

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Experience of booking systems such as WPAS
  • Administrative experience in a Health care setting
  • NVQ in Business Administrative/ or equivalent
  • RSA Word Processing Level 1-3

Desirable criteria

  • Ability to speak welsh
