Reliability Engineering Department
The Reliability Engineering Team is responsible for the overall health of critical systems across Vantage global facilities. For each of the major systems Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls, the Reliability Engineering team is responsible for ensuring success in the commissioning stages of new construction, evaluating and improving the reliability and performance of existing critical infrastructure, new and remediation projects, sustaining equipment operational availability through maintenance programming, providing technical support and training to the Site Operations Teams, and providing systems reliability and maintainability feedback to the Design Engineering teams for future design considerations.
Position Description
The Reliability Engineering Support Engineer assists in maintaining the Reliability Engineering Program objectives. This role executes the requirements of the reliability engineering program directed by Subject Matter Experts. A successful candidate will balance workload demands within the Reliability Engineering team and collaborate with other teams to ensure critical system health is maintained. Responsibilities include facility acceptance testing, site auditing and analysis, preparation and review of root cause analysis documentation, remediation projects, and technical support for Site Operations. An understanding of critical system arrangements, potential system failures, and appropriate failure response actions is essential. The candidate should also have a foundational understanding of data centre design theory and equipment sequences.

Essential Job Functions
- Assist with Facility Acceptance Testing, Remediation Projects, Asset Performance, and Site Operations.
- Carry out site audits for both technical and compliance objectives
- Carry out root cause analysis on-sites with internal teams and vendors and preparing documentation
- Support workload management, project planning, and assisting Subject Matter Experts with site-specific work requirements.
- Provide regular status updates on system health, team objectives, and KPIs.
- Offer technical assistance to Site Operations Leads in the areas of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
- Help maintain full availability of critical systems across EMEA facilities.
- Support the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations with the Design Engineering, Innovation, and Construction teams.
- Review construction equipment submittals, identify deficiencies, and evaluate maintenance requirements.
- Offer operational, maintainability, and reliability advice to the Design Engineering teams.
- Assist in the transition from commissioning to site operations and coordinate acceptance of the facility.
- Develop risk management plans that anticipate reliability-related risks.
- Analise Asset Utilization, Equipment Effectiveness, and Remaining Usable Life with Site Operations.
- Support site mitigation and system upgrade projects and/or collaborate with adjacent teams where design engineering and construction expertise are needed.
- Support vendor activity and external resources in accordance with budgets when additional resources are necessary.
- Keep site technical libraries up-to-date, ensure drawings are current, and support site operations teams from a technical standpoint.
- Maintain proficiency in system operation and maintenance techniques among the Site Teams.
- Support maintenance programs for minimizing maintenance complexity and reducing maintenance downtime.
- Analyse trends, operational histories, and maintenance data to validate maintenance performance.
- Support appropriate site response procedures for critical system failures.
- Provide guidance and technical support on request to facility operators.
- Participate in CAB calls for high-risk planned maintenance.
- Develop Root-cause Failure Analysis, support of corrective actions, and bar raising for active AARs.
- Provide best practices support to Operations teams to improve operational efficiencies [PUE/WUE].
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
- 2 years of experience in facilities operations or maintenance engineering with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and promote a teamwork mentality.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of total work time.
- Ability to travel internationally
