Milk Intake Technician

Location: Bellshill Dairy

Contract Type: Full-Time

Hourly Rate: £12.66 + shift premiums

Premium Pay Rates

• Saturday: 1.25x hourly rate
• Sunday: 1.5x hourly rate
• Public Holidays: 2x hourly rate
• Unsociable Hours (6pm – 4am): Additional 23%
  
  

Shift Pattern

Working 5 days over 7 on a rotating shift basis:

• Day Shift: 06:00 – 14:30
• Back Shift: 14:00 – 22:30
• Night Shift: 22:00 – 06:30
  
  

About The Role

We are seeking a Milk Intake Technician to join the Process Department at Bellshill Dairy, part of Müller Milk & Ingredients. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of:

• Raw milk intake
• Fresh milk and cream processing
• Cream export operations
• Chemical offload area
• Laboratory testing and reporting
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Sampling and testing of raw and finished products
• Recording and updating lab results using dedicated systems
• Loading cream export tankers
• Liaising with production departments
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Conducting quality assurance checks
• Manual cleaning duties
• Supporting additional tasks as required
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment (preferably food-related)
• Understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement practices
• High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
