Sitting within the Vendor Alliances department at Softcat, the Microsoft Product and Services Team are a group of subject matter experts, aligned to Softcat's technology proposition areas. The team is a customer-facing, technology focused resource available for our Microsoft Specialists and our Account Teams. A passion for customer service and a drive to be the first to understand new technology is at the heart of team.
The Product and Services Specialists are responsible for identifying technology trends, aligning associated Microsoft solutions to them and helping others at Softcat explain these to their customers.

Support our customers' adoption of Microsoft solutions
As a Microsoft Product and Services Specialist you will be a subject matter expert in Hybrid Platform with a deep understanding of Microsoft's solutions in this space. You must thrive in a challenging environment where there is a requirement to research and learn quickly. Clear communication skills – specifically the ability to explain complicated topics in concise way – are vital for success.
To support our customers' adoption of Microsoft solutions and Softcat's continued growth as a recognised services partner, you must be familiar with all Microsoft funded programs, Softcat Professional Services and Partner Services associated to your specialist area.
You are tasked with maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft products and services, staying abreast of the latest technological advancements, and articulating the value of vendor technology to both internal teams and customers. Your role requires you to achieve and maintain sales and technical certifications. You will be collaborating across the business to support the needs of our customers.

As Microsoft Product & Services Specialist - Hybrid Platforms, you'll be responsible for:
- Maintaining comprehensive an up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft products and services in Hybrid Platform
- Confidently articulating the value and benefits of the vendor's technology to both internal teams and customers
- Analysing market trends and customer needs to uncover new business opportunities
- Developing and maintaining a relationship map between Softcat and vendors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
- Ensuring that sales teams are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills to promote vendor products effectively
- Proactively engaging with customers and sales teams to understand customer needs and demonstrate capabilities of vendor technologies
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Hybrid Platform and how Microsoft's solutions fit within it
- Strong relationship skills
- Ability to obtain sales and technical certifications relevant to Hybrid Platform
- Collaborative with a proactive mindset
- Attention to detail and prioritisation of tasks
