About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Accountant/Finance Analyst to support our growing business by delivering detailed financial analysis and high-quality support to the finance team, project budget holders, and senior management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving profitability and project performance across various business functions. This position requires strong commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure financial targets are met.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of monthly accounting and project reporting
  • Business partnering with the operations team to drive profitability and performance
  • Supporting and guiding project budget holders by providing financial information
  • Advising Operations and Sales teams on meeting financial targets and commitments
  • Conducting monthly revenue and WIP reporting and other project-related financial tasks
  • Reviewing project performance on a historical and forecast basis
  • Managing project profit and loss accounts
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Overseeing cash flow forecasting and cash management
  • Analysing resource planning and its effect on project profitability
  • Producing commercial analysis and establish key performance metrics


Qualifications:

Proven experience in accounting, analysis, and commercial finance. Excellent communication. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.


Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, commercially aware, and proactive, with a strong attention to detail. They will excel at communicating complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams. Proficient in Excel and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment are essential. Financial qualifications or significant hands-on experience are highly valued.
