The Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader's role is to:
- Build capability of the whole school with regard to mental health and wellbeing (identification, promotion and prevention),
- Provide support to staff to better identify and support students with mental health needs,
- Establish clear pathways for referral for students requiring assessment and intervention, and monitor and evaluate student progress.
- relevant qualifications ie. Masters in Wellbeing
- a commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children;
- an understanding of and willingness to embrace the MACS 2030 Strategy, including the MACS Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement
- registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching;
- accreditation to teach Religious Education (or a willingness to gain this accreditation);
- commitment to teamwork and the skills to work collaboratively;
- a passion for working with children, dedicated to supporting their academic, emotional and spiritual growth; and
- openness to reflection and a commitment to professional growth.
- A cover letter (of no more than 2 pages) outlining your suitability for the position;
- A current Curriculum Vitae detailing your experience, skills and employment history - including the details of any volunteer work involving children;
- the names and contact details of at least three referees. It is a requirement that applicants include their most recent two principals/employers as one of their referees; and
- the completed and signed Application Form (attached)
- Applicants require VIT registration
- Applicants will be required to have a strong understanding of the Child Safe Standards and relevant policies.
