A Bit About What You Will Do...
The Planning Team Manager is an essential management role, responsible for managing the planning team and overseeing the coordination of all contracted meetings and events. The Planning Team Manager will ensure events are planned to the highest standard, aligning with both commercial and operational goals. The role involves leading and developing the team, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting both the Sales Team Manager and Director of Sales and Events in delivering exceptional service and results.

A Bit About What You Will Do...
The Planning Team Manager is an essential management role, responsible for managing the planning team and overseeing the coordination of all contracted meetings and events. The Planning Team Manager will ensure events are planned to the highest standard, aligning with both commercial and operational goals. The role involves leading and developing the team, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting both the Sales Team Manager and Director of Sales and Events in delivering exceptional service and results.
- Take ownership of delivering exceptional planning/experience for VIP clients and lead the execution of flagship events
- Manage all bookings handed over from the enquiries team with courtesy and efficiency
- Collaborate with clients and operational teams to record all booking details, producing detailed event orders/function sheets
- Lead & participate in pre-event meetings with clients and hotel teams.
- Oversee and delegate daily team tasks (e.g. distribution of function sheets and operations packs
- Understand & communicate departmental revenue targets and KPIs, actively contributing to hotel goals.
- Conduct monthly team meetings, job chats, and annual reviews
- Maintain close contact with all prospective clients, accurately recording their requirements
- Very strong communication skills and an excellent standard of written and spoken English.
- Ability to take initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last-minute changes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A smart and professional appearance.
- Most of all, you will have an approachable, positive, and proactive manner.
- Experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel is a significant advantage.
