Macquarie Group
Date: 3 weeks ago
City: London
Contract type: Full time
The Market Risk team is responsible for measuring and managing Macquarie’s potential exposure to losses resulting from changes in financial markets. Given the diversity and complexity of the products traded at Macquarie, our work is both challenging and essential to the way we conduct business. The team collaborates closely with trading desks and other stakeholders to ensure risks are identified, understood, and managed effectively.
While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in the advertised location.

You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.
What role will you play?
In this role, you will be responsible for understanding, calculating, and reporting market risk metrics to trading desks and senior management on a daily basis. You will interact regularly with front office traders to ensure market risks are managed appropriately within established limits. Working alongside various teams, you will support new product and limit approvals, develop risk scenarios, and set limits for new ventures. You will investigate significant profit and loss events, reporting key drivers to senior management, and monitor market news and trends to assess their risk implications. Operating in a global environment, you will collaborate with Market Risk colleagues based in Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Paris, Dublin, New York and Houston.
