More About The Role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a NPI / Manufacturing project Manager, to join our team in Cwmbran, Wales, UK with Signify.

As a NPI / Manufacturing project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and industrializing our electronics / professional IoT portfolio for Systems and Services (within the segments Public, Office & Industry, Retail & Hospitality). Your focus will be on quality, time and budget.

Your focus will be on New Product Introductions (NPIs) as well as Production management within our electronics manufacturing facility. Manufacturing activities involve PCB assembly (SMT, Wave soldering) as well as final assembly, programming and testing).

What You’ll Do

  • Delivers product on time with high factory and supplier yields. Ensures there is an optimum production process (mainly PCBA manufacturing (SMT, Wavesolder) as regards routing, supplies and manpower levels
  • Select, manage, develop, coach, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient manufacturing, Deploy & execute manufacturing standards
  • Support LEAN implementation & continuous improvement
  • There are detailed designs available for manufacturing (Dfx) for all new products during concept and development phase (Engineering sample runs, pilot and mass production)
  • Manufacturing costs, capacity and quality are within targets, used technologies and processes are UpToDate to continuously improve global systems product quality, reduce costs and/or improve manufacturability
  • Supply chain activities during NPI phases are supported by both contract manufacturer as internally
  • You coordinate and lead production transfers to alternative factories when assigned
  • Successfully arrange and qualify all custom material suppliers
  • Maintain commitment to safety, environmental and quality regulations guidelines
  • Lead the production unit, related processes, and staff in the execution of world class operational performance.

More About You

  • Technical background, preferably in electrical engineering
  • +5 years of relevant working experience in the field of electronics PCBA manufacturing (must)
  • Advanced Planning, organizing and execution skills
  • Ability to act independent; Take ownership and responsibility for the NPI projects you’re working on
  • Clear in communication (fluent English in verbal and writing required)
