A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll support our Test Department operation based in Lincoln, helping to develop our Industrial Turbo-machinery business within Siemens Energy. You’ll join a friendly and collaborative team, where full training will be provided for the successful candidate. We’re looking for someone dynamic, technically capable, and detail-focused – someone who is punctual, reliable, and motivated to drive change and continuous improvement.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.
- Lead and support initiatives focused on safety, cost reduction, quality, and efficiency improvements.
- Create and develop SAP routings to ensure smooth process flow.
- Drive continuous improvement using LEAN tools, supporting projects from planning through to execution.
- Develop and utilise digital production systems to enhance operational performance.
- Lead and collaborate with stakeholders to reduce interventions and improve outcomes.
- HNC or Degree in electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of SGT products and supporting systems.
- Demonstrable experience in the application of LEAN techniques.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels and in all formats.
- I.T. skills and digitalisation abilities.
- A willingness to learn and embrace new approaches.
- A proactive attitude towards process improvements.
- Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
