Manufacturing Engineer

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll support our Test Department operation based in Lincoln, helping to develop our Industrial Turbo-machinery business within Siemens Energy. You’ll join a friendly and collaborative team, where full training will be provided for the successful candidate. We’re looking for someone dynamic, technically capable, and detail-focused – someone who is punctual, reliable, and motivated to drive change and continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.
• Lead and support initiatives focused on safety, cost reduction, quality, and efficiency improvements.
• Create and develop SAP routings to ensure smooth process flow.
• Drive continuous improvement using LEAN tools, supporting projects from planning through to execution.
• Develop and utilise digital production systems to enhance operational performance.
• Lead and collaborate with stakeholders to reduce interventions and improve outcomes.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• HNC or Degree in electrical, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of SGT products and supporting systems.
• Demonstrable experience in the application of LEAN techniques.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels and in all formats.
• I.T. skills and digitalisation abilities.
• A willingness to learn and embrace new approaches.
• A proactive attitude towards process improvements.
• Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
