The Defence Academy sits within a beautiful and secure site which hosts 2 lakes and is surrounded by acres of scenic woodland. The Academy trains the future commanders and staff officers of all three UK Armed Services and those from many countries around the world.
The key purpose of this role is to provide porter service on request for the movement of equipment and goods within the confines of the campus during normal working hours, in support of the defence Academy of the United Kingdom and Serco.

Key Responsibilities
- General portage tasking as required.
- The Movement, setting up and return of equipment used at instructional venues.
- Movement of stores, furniture and equipment as required.
- Clearance of waste materials as required.
- Assist reprographics staff with JSCSC/DA course material delivery as required.
- Receive, check, record and delivery goods received.
- Reconfiguration of teaching facilities.
- Movement of furniture associated with Churn tasking.
- Erecting and striking of Tentage and camp stores as required.
- Able to work as a team or unsupervised.
- Flexible work ethic.
- Good Communication and interpersonal.
- Able to manage workloads and resources to achieve results.
- Able to use hand tools for packing and unpacking of stores items.
- Able to follow Health and safety policies and procedures.
- Physically fit to conduct manual handling task
- Driving Licence (Desirable)
