Group Management Accountant
tmGroup (UK) ltd.
Date: 13 hours ago
City: Swindon
Contract type: Full time

Drive financial excellence, shape strategic decisions, and be at the heart of our group-wide financial reporting and performance.
We’re looking for a talented Group Management Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate, insightful reporting and analysis across a growing, multi-entity group. You’ll work closely with the Group Financial Controller and senior stakeholders, providing trusted financial insights, leading budget cycles, and supporting key business decisions that help shape the future of the business.
About The Role
This is a hands-on, high-impact role that involves preparing and delivering monthly consolidated management accounts and reporting packs, complete with clear and insightful analysis of variances and key performance indicators. You’ll support the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasting, working closely with business unit leaders to ensure financial plans are both accurate and commercially realistic.
Responsible for managing and mentoring a small team of two Finance Assistants. In this capacity, you’ll support their development, oversee their day-to-day outputs, and ensure high standards of accuracy and timeliness in transactional finance processes. You’ll have the opportunity to nurture their growth, building them into future finance business partners.
Other key responsibilities will include overseeing the monthly reconciliation of balance sheets, owning the intercompany matrix and helping drive consistency in accounting practices across entities.
Working closely with the team to provide deliverables required for audit or any other regulatory requirements.
You will seek opportunities to streamline reporting and processes. Whether it’s driving automation, enhancing dashboards, or supporting strategic projects such as acquisitions or system implementations, you’ll play a key role in driving financial performance and process improvement whilst maintaining financial controls and compliance.
About You
You’re a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with solid experience in group or commercial finance. You’re confident managing complexity across multiple entities and have a strong grasp of financial reporting, consolidation, and forecasting. You thrive in dynamic environments and are as comfortable digging into data as you are collaborating with senior leaders across the business.
You’re technically strong and commercially aware, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and able to communicate financial insights in a clear, meaningful way. You enjoy problem-solving, take ownership of your work, and are always looking for ways to improve systems, processes, and performance.
In addition to your technical expertise, you bring leadership experience, having previously managed or mentored junior finance team members. You are passionate about supporting their development and contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
You are also experienced in financial planning and analysis, with the ability to provide strategic insights through budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, helping to inform key business decisions. Experience in a fast-paced, growing business—particularly one that’s PE-backed or operating in a matrix structure—would be a real bonus. Familiarity with Power BI, audit processes, would also be an advantage.
About Us
