Perfect if you like being outdoors, staying active, and taking pride in a job well done
We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our team as a Litter Picker. This role is about more than picking up rubbish, it’s about creating cleaner, safer, and more welcoming spaces for your community and local wildlife. Every shift, you’ll see the difference your work makes, from cleaner paths to safer, more enjoyable areas for people and wildlife, and you can take pride in the results you achieve.
What you’ll be responsible for:
In this role, you’ll be picking up litter, emptying bins, and disposing of waste safely. You’ll always have the right protective gear to keep you safe. Most of the work is independent, but you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team.
We’re looking for someone dependable, happy to work outdoors in all weathers, and able to take pride in doing a job well. You don’t need previous experience, just reliability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to get stuck in.
Why join Ground Control?
Ground Control is a UK-based grounds maintenance company that’s been looking after outdoor spaces since 1973. From green spaces to construction projects, we help keep over 50,000 sites across the UK clean, safe, and welcoming.
If you want a role where your work is valued and you can see the difference you make every day, we’d love to hear from you.
Equal Opportunities Statement
At Ground Control, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to thrive. We believe that diversity drives innovation and success, and we welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
We are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and do not discriminate based on sex, age, disability, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic. We actively support and promote an inclusive culture, ensuring fair and equitable treatment throughout the recruitment process and beyond. #INDHP
