As a Lead Driver HGV (C) based in Milton Keynes, you’ll be responsible for:
- Providing support to the Transport Manager
- Supervising the team of drivers first thing in the morning ensuring all vehicle checks have been carried out and all deliveries depart fully compliant
- Giving safety briefings and updates to the drivers
- Securing temporary replacement drivers to cover absences
- Assisting the transport team with administration when required e.g. booking vehicles in for maintenance.
- Driving 7.5T vehicles delivering bathroom products to high end showrooms and customers - Quite a lot of distance driving as deliveries cover 70% of the country
- Delivering to businesses in London on a regular basis
- Loading and unloading vehicle
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Valid CPC and Tachograph
- Previous experience driving a 7.5T vehicle
- Comfortable driving in London
- Exceptional customer service skills
- The ability to work under pressure
