Our Application Operations Engineers are at the forefront of maintaining and improving our systems, lending their expertise and skills to developing innovative, simple solutions to complex problems.
We are looking for a leader in application operations engineering to manage a team of these highly skilled engineers, developing their skills and supporting and directing their work on the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) portfolio of applications.
As well as being accountable for incident management, the roadmap and strategy of application operations, and the effective handling of customer queries, you'll also be engaging with the wider digital team and liaising with senior stakeholders, championing collaboration, sharing best practices, and promoting innovation.
Pay up to £66,058, plus 28.9% employer pension contributions, hybrid working with 60% home working, flexible hours, and great work life balance.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you.
We also have all the tools and tech we need to enable our people to work and collaborate flexibly. We work a hybrid model - you'll be in the office about 40% of the time, and 60% home working.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Previous experience of operating in a senior leadership role, providing task management to teams which carry out full range of Service Management duties and building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and services.
- Previous Service Management experience, including understanding and exposure of the ITIL Service Management Framework to deliver a quality service to end-users.
- Holds strong technical ability on a range of technologies and systems (including RedHat Linux and Curam or similar) resulting in improvements to services. Including the sharing of best practice and implementation of improvements across multiple teams.
