We are responsible for the Radiology Service Delivery in three acute hospitals and are seeking to appoint Band 6 Radiographers, to work within our Interventional team.
We are committed to staff development and training.
Successful post-holders will be required to work throughout the Interventional suite, hybrid theatre and general areas, including A&E, theatres, fluoroscopy and to undertake limited CT scanning.
Successful applicants will work a shift pattern which includes evenings, nights and weekends.
Applications are sought from proactive, enthusiastic and committed individuals who are keen to develop.
Main duties of the job
Contribute, as a senior radiographer, to a patient focussed service of the highest quality and, under the management of the Principal/Service Lead Radiographer, Intervention, be a point of reference for this modality.
Assist, liaise with and support the Principal/ lead Radiographer, Intervention, in the delivery of an efficient and effective service, identifying the need for and, under supervision, assisting with the delivery of service improvements whilst promoting and maintaining Radiology and BCUHB standards and protocols.
Perform high quality radiographic examinations ensuring efficient delivery of workflow and compliance with the statutory regulations relating to ionising radiation, BCUHB and Radiology Service policies and procedures.
Undertake contractual hours and, where service needs require over a seven day period, the pattern and duration of which will be compliant with the European Working Time Directive and BCUHB Rostering Guidelines.
Supervise and teach radiographers, radiographic assistants, student radiographers and work experience students in the department and other working environments, ensuring compliance with BCUHB and Radiology specific policies, protocols and working practices.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
