Internal Audit Manager
Bromford

Bromford is looking for an experienced internal audit manager to play a key role in our innovative and high-performing internal audit team. Reporting to the head of internal audit, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality audit reviews, supervising auditors, and ensuring compliance with the global internal audit standards.
As part of an independent function that reports directly to the board, you will help shape and develop the internal audit strategy, maintain robust quality assurance systems, and oversee the planning and execution of audit work. Your role will involve conducting complex, high-impact audits, reviewing working papers and reports, and providing expert coaching and guidance to the audit team.
Beyond audit reviews, you’ll have the opportunity to design and deliver consulting work, including workshops, training, and advisory engagements on risk, governance, and internal control. You’ll use data, AI tools, and industry insights to assess risks, identify trends, and provide valuable recommendations that enhance business performance.
Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with leaders across the organisation and our in-house second-line assurance team to ensure effective risk management and internal controls. You will also have line management responsibilities, supporting and developing auditors to reach their full potential.
This role is permanent and full time. You can be based from any of our main offices in Chipping Sodbury, Tewkesbury or Wolverhampton with regular home working available. Some occasional travel across our geography is required. The role requires a basic DBS and consumer check.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive internal audit experience, including supervision and coaching
- Strong knowledge of internal audit standards and data analysis (Excel proficiency)
- Relevant qualification (CMIIA, CIA, ACCA, ACA)
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ethical, trustworthy, and confident in influencing at all levels
- Strong time management, written communication, and teamwork skills
- Proactive, innovative, and willing to travel across sites when required
The closing date is Tuesday 25 February with first stage interviews taking place Wednesday 5 March.
If you have a strong background in internal audit, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality assurance work, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact at Bromford.
