Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Infection Control Nurse at University Hospital Crosshouse.
What You Will Do
You will be a member of the Infection Control Team who will assist in the development and delivery of the infection prevention and control service provided for NHS Ayrshire & Arran. This is a comprehensive infection control service designed to minimise the risk of healthcare associated infection to patients, staff, visitors and others and will be in compliance with NHS Scotland infection control standards and evidenced based research.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership
UK driving licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
- First level registered nurse with relevant clinical experience
- Evidence of post registration education and training
- Commitment to undertake an appropriate Infection Control Qualification (diploma, degree or masters level)
- Practical experience of undertaking and reporting on audits as well as preparing and delivering education and training, including presentations as required
- A keen interest in infection prevention and control
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are key components of the role
