WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, you will
- Providing support to department managers to fulfil all H&S obligations in line with Government and Company policies, to ensure compliance
- Ensuring all day to day issues are dealt with in accordance with legislation and company policies
- To act as the first point of contact for any site issues and deal with them in a timely manner
- Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve standards of H&S performance and quality
- Ensuring all records are accurate and up to date, including upkeep of risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Manual Handling Risk assessments
- To be responsible for the design, delivery and review of all Health and Safety related training including induction and health and safety training files ensuring consistency across the Business Unit
- Experience in a similar role within a warehouse environment including experience with or use of MHE.
- NEBOSH certification or working towards obtaining is essential
- WAMITAB qualification or be willing to study towards this
- Risk assessment qualification is desirable
- Strong communicator across various levels - both written and verbal
- A can do attitude with the ability to work to own initiative
- High level of IT literacy - experience using Logics and Microsoft office applications would be advantageous
