Position: HSE Manager

Location: Working across 2 sites - 3 days in Thatcham, RG19 4AZ and 2 days in Didcot, OX11 7HH

Work Pattern: Monday-Friday. Day-time hours

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a HSE Manager to play a vital role ensuring continuous development and execution of Health and Safety across the two sites .

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will

• Providing support to department managers to fulfil all H&S obligations in line with Government and Company policies, to ensure compliance
• Ensuring all day to day issues are dealt with in accordance with legislation and company policies
• To act as the first point of contact for any site issues and deal with them in a timely manner
• Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve standards of H&S performance and quality
• Ensuring all records are accurate and up to date, including upkeep of risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Manual Handling Risk assessments
• To be responsible for the design, delivery and review of all Health and Safety related training including induction and health and safety training files ensuring consistency across the Business Unit
  
  
  

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Experience in a similar role within a warehouse environment including experience with or use of MHE.
• NEBOSH certification or working towards obtaining is essential
• WAMITAB qualification or be willing to study towards this
• Risk assessment qualification is desirable
• Strong communicator across various levels - both written and verbal
• A can do attitude with the ability to work to own initiative
• High level of IT literacy - experience using Logics and Microsoft office applications would be advantageous
