Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic role in a supportive environment? We are seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in the Midlands, you will need to be within a one-hour commute of Birmingham. This home-based role offers the flexibility to work remotely with occasional travel as required.

About The Role

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will play a vital role in providing operational support across people management and employee engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your HR expertise in a hands-on advisory capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance on employee engagement, welfare, and relations.
  • Manage processes for probation reviews, sickness/absence cases, and exit interviews.
  • Support onboarding and integration for new business acquisitions.
  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance processes, including administration and note-taking.
  • Coordinate Health & Safety investigations and risk assessments.
  • Deliver data employment returns for Northern Ireland and engagement survey coordination.
  • Maintain and update HR documentation, including process guides and HRIS records.
  • Respond promptly to internal HR queries, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Contribute to process improvements and undertake HR projects.

About You

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in an advisory HR role, with strong knowledge of employee relations.
  • Proven experience working with comprehensive HRIS systems.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive approach.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and maintaining professional standards.

Desirable

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards).
