TravelGay.com

Date: 3 weeks ago
City: Brighton
Contract type: Full time

Who we are

TravelGay.com is the world’s leading LGBTQ+ travel media platform, attracting millions of visitors each year across web and social channels. We are now seeking a Head of Partnerships to drive the commercial growth of the brand through innovative destination partnerships, hotel campaigns and strategic media sales.

This role is central to monetising our audience reach, securing long-term relationships with tourist boards, hotel groups and global destinations, while also expanding into lifestyle and brand partnerships. You’ll take ownership of our commercial strategy, directly selling and delivering campaigns, and laying the foundations for a scaled partnerships team as demand grows.

It’s both strategic and hands-on: you’ll be pitching and closing high-value destination and hotel campaigns, managing delivery end-to-end, and developing the wider commercial proposition for brands looking to reach LGBTQ+ travellers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial strategy & revenue growth: Develop and execute a partnerships strategy that maximises revenue across tourist boards, hotel groups, destinations and brand advertisers.
  • Destination & hotel partnerships: Build and scale long-term relationships with tourist boards and hotel groups, creating compelling campaigns that showcase destinations to our LGBTQ+ audience.
  • Direct sales & campaign development: Pitch and sell multi-channel campaigns to destinations, hotels and agencies, as well as lifestyle and travel brands, with a focus on CPM-based performance and ROI.
  • Content partnerships: Develop innovative content-led campaigns that integrate editorial, native, social and digital advertising formats.
  • Campaign delivery & reporting: Oversee campaigns end-to-end, from creative briefing and trafficking to optimisation and reporting against CPM, CTR and ROI benchmarks.
  • Market development: Identify and prioritise new destination and hospitality partners, while expanding into brand partnerships as a growth area.
  • Client relationships: Build and nurture senior-level relationships with global tourist boards, hotel groups, agencies and brand stakeholders.
  • Team growth: Recruit, mentor and manage a small but growing partnerships team as revenue expands.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with editorial, marketing and product teams to deliver destination content and campaigns that integrate seamlessly across channels.
  • Innovation: Evolve our commercial offering by introducing new media formats, creative ideas and partnership models.
  • Luxury crossover: Leverage our premium brand OutOfOffice.com for joint campaigns with tourist boards, hotels and high-end destinations.

Experience

  • Strong track record of selling and delivering campaigns to tourist boards, hotel groups and destinations, ideally in media, publishing, or travel advertising.
  • Knowledge of destination marketing and hospitality partnerships, with proven experience managing multi-stakeholder campaigns.
  • Understanding of digital media planning and buying, with expertise in CPM/CPC/CTR metrics and campaign performance analysis.
  • Strong network of destination marketing organisations (DMOs), hotel groups and travel/lifestyle agencies.
  • Proven ability to create and pitch compelling campaign concepts to both travel and lifestyle sectors.
  • Entrepreneurial and commercially minded, motivated by ambitious revenue targets.
  • Excellent presentation and pitching skills with the ability to tell compelling destination and brand stories.
  • Analytical, data-driven mindset with the ability to provide clients with clear performance insights.
  • Strong negotiator and relationship-builder at senior level.
  • Adaptable, resilient and motivated to thrive in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.
  • Passion for travel, diversity and the LGBTQ+ media landscape.

We encourage candidates who are passionate about building meaningful partnerships to apply for this exciting opportunity.
