PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Head of Marketing and Strategy is a key executive role responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance the company’s brand, increase market share, and drive revenue growth. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in strategic planning, digital marketing, brand management, and market analysis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and implementing successful marketing campaigns and will be adept at leading cross-functional teams.

Key Accountabilities/Outcomes

  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Set long-term and short-term strategic goals and objectives for the marketing department.
  • Brand Management:
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the company’s brand, ensuring consistency across all channels.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen the brand’s market position and reputation.
  • Develop and implement branding campaigns to increase brand awareness and loyalty.
  • Marketing Campaigns:
  • Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across various platforms (digital, print, events, etc.).
  • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure marketing efforts support sales objectives.
  • Digital Marketing:
  • Lead the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and technologies to ensure the company’s digital presence is competitive.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Set performance metrics and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Budget Management:
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance related to marketing activities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the executive team, product development, sales, and other departments to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Represent the marketing department in executive meetings and provide insights on market trends and strategies.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Conduct competitor analysis and identify market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize marketing strategies and improve ROI.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Significant experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.

Strong knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and market analysis.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to think strategically and creatively.

Proficient in marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, SEO tools).
