Head of Finance Systems & Data - Affordable Housing & Property
Worcester based with a balance of home and office working
£87,101 - £91,685 per year plus Company car or car allowance
35 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Head of Finance Systems and Data to join our Affordable Housing & Property Finance team, based in Worcester. This is a senior leadership role with the wider team being made up of c45 colleagues. You will be supporting the Chief Customer Officer's operational teams, which comprise more than 3,000 colleagues. Providing financial control, insight and decision support across the operational teams, working closely with Group Finance and other central functions. We are also helping the business evolve and transform its systems, data and processes to keep our services competitive.
This role makes sure our finance systems and data work brilliantly for a large, complex and highly regulated organisation that provides homes to 90,000 households. Day to day you'll be the bridge between divisional finance users and Group Finance, Technology and Data - translating what needs to be done both ways so systems run smoothly, data is trusted, and priorities are clear. You'll lead a small team, improve processes and controls, and ensure our reporting stands up to audit and regulatory scrutiny. You'll be a key player in delivering major transformation projects; you'll develop practical dashboards and insight that help leaders make decisions; and you'll support major investments with modelling and impact analysis; and you'll be the flag-bearer for the CCO division on sound use, management and governance of data. Above all, you'll focus on outcomes for customers - using systems and information to improve service, value for money and compliance across a >£1bn turnover business.
We need a calm, credible leader who can influence across a matrix, not a hands on coder. You'll be fluent in enterprise finance platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle or Dynamics) and in how data should be structured, governed and used.
This is a new, high profile leadership role with real scope to improve how a major, regulated housing organisation manages its finance systems and data. You'll have direct access to the divisional Finance Director, close collaboration with Group teams, and the freedom to set a clear plan that makes a tangible difference for customers and communities. We welcome candidates from across sectors; housing experience is helpful, not essential. Flexible, hybrid working is standard, with occasional travel to Worcester and London.

- Extensive experience in operational finance teams

- Demonstrable experience of managing a team
- Proven experience of being involved in, and managing organisational change
