As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Safety, Health & Environment Compliance to join our team in Grimsby.
Role Overview
As the Head of Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the compliance of our operations with regulatory standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety & environmental policies and strategies, while fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Safety, Health & Environment Compliance to join our team in Grimsby.
Role Overview
As the Head of Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and the compliance of our operations with regulatory standards. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety & environmental policies and strategies, while fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the safety, health and environmental (SHE) compliance team.
- Develop and implement SHE strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain the business certification to ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001 standards
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory
- requirements.
- Provide expert guidance and training to staff on SHE matters.
- Collaborate with departmental heads to integrate safety practices into all business operations.
- Monitor and report on SHE performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company in SHE matters.
- Proven experience in a senior health and safety compliance role, ideally within a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven experience of leading the management of compliance systems to attain ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 standard certification
- Lead auditor for ISO 45001 highly desirable
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management or equivalent qualification is required.
- NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
