Emplas is one of the UK’s largest window and door fabricators. As a manufacturer of double glazing we partner with leading window systems suppliers, and offer some of the industry’s most technically advanced low maintenance and energy efficient aluminium and U-PVC windows and doors. Being both upvc window manufacturers and aluminium window manufacturers, we work with the trade, new build, social housing and educational sectors since 1979, our reputation is built on service excellence.

We are now looking to recruit a Group HR Manager who will be pivotal in aligning HR strategies with business goals, fostering a collaborative Group culture, and driving key initiatives to create a unified team. Responsibilities will include talent management, employee relations, leadership development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.

Position:

Key Duties will include:

  • Partner with executive leaders and senior management to deliver people strategies that align with business objectives
  • Lead recruitment efforts, from job postings to candidate selection, collaborating with managers to attract top talent
  • Manage HR platforms like Cezanne and oversee the adoption of new technologies to streamline HR functions
  • To drive employee involvement in conjunction with managers in order to motivate and engage employees
  • Develop alongside the L&D partner and implement leadership and management development programs, onboarding processes, and career frameworks
  • To provide advice and data to enable fair and relevant remuneration for all roles alongside competitive benchmarking techniques and to oversee relevant recognition and reward
  • Drive the organization’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability, and employee well-being programs
  • To work with the Group Finance Director to support and promote the deployment of relevant employee benefits
  • To provide advice and support to managers in restructures, and other employee transition situations to minimise employment risk
  • Oversee all aspects of the employee experience, including talent management, DE&I, learning, and internal communications
  • To lead, motivate and develop the HR Team to support the delivery of the HR Service
  • To provide informative data to support decision making regarding all people activities
  • To ensure that an Apprenticeship Program is delivered to maximise the use of the Apprenticeship Levy in line with the business needs
  • To produce and present multiple and regular reports with insight and explanation
  • Conduct employee engagement initiatives, such as pulse surveys, and address employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion
  • Analyse HR metrics to guide decision-making and improve processes
  • Ensure all people policies and procedures are compliant and in line with up-to-date employment law changes and developments
  • To be the lead representation for HR within the Group businesses

This role is a varied one and requires experience in multiple HR areas and somebody who can operate in a fully operationally capacity aswell as having a tactical HR understanding.

Requirements:

The ideal candiate will require:

  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, resourcing, organisation development, employee relations and development
  • Above average oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources function and team
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the Senior Management team that provides company leadership and direction
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows, including Excel and skills in HR Systems
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources policies and procedures development
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Level 7 CIPD qualification or through proven experience
  • Six plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions

Other information:

This role is full time, on site Monday to Friday.

Working hours are onsite, Monday to Friday

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 DoE
