Why are we hiring a Group Financial Reporting Accountant?

Instem is seeking an innovative Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Group Financial Reporting Manager, the Group Financial Reporting Accountant will produce consolidated financial information and provide technical advice to the board and key stakeholders

What to expect?

Financial Reporting

• Responsible for the preparation of the Group’s consolidated financial reports ready for audit, including but not limited to the production of year-end schedules for audit.
• Prepare statutory accounts for all group companies.
• Liaise directly with the group auditors to provide all necessary supporting information to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Review and help finalise international reporting and filing obligations, working with relevant third-party providers to ensure compliance.
  
  
  

Technical Compliance

• Act as the technical lead in helping the Group adhere to accounting standards and accepted practices.
• Break down intricate financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-finance professionals
• Drive commercial and other value drivers by utilising technical provisions to maximise financial results
  
  
  

M&A And Special Projects

• Conduct acquisition accounting for any M&A transactions and perform Fair Value assessments.
• Manage ad hoc projects and requests as part of a growing private equity-backed business.
  
  
  

Process Adherence

• Ensure adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System to handle all work securely, professionally, and diligently.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Consolidation of multi currency international groups is key
• Technically strong in IFRS
• Experienced in SaaS businesses is preferable
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent Excel skills and good general IT skills.
