Graduate Development Surveyor

CCG (Scotland) is one of the country’s largest construction and manufacturing groups, and we seek an entry-level candidate to support our Developments team, which specialises in land acquisition and the provision of pre-construction services for the purpose of delivering private and affordable housing.

SALARY: £30k+

HOURS: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4pm, core flexible hours available

LOCATION: CCG (Scotland) Ltd HQ, 9 Cambuslang Road, Cambuslang Investment Park, Glasgow, G32 8NB – office-based role, non-hybrid working.

The successful candidate will expand and develop skills relative to:

Take offs
Cost planning
Ongoing review of the financial viability of developments
Financial reporting of private development projects
Management of design teams
Programming development projects
Statutory consents (e.g. Planning permission, Building warrants etc)
Land bidding and negotiation
Liaising with clients

Skills

BSc Quantity Surveying / Building Surveying / Construction Management, or in the final year of their course
Experience in undertaking take offs
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel & Outlook
Basic knowledge of residential construction
Motivated and takes initiative.
Conscientious and detail-oriented
Experience working in an office environment – preferred but not essential
Driving licence
