You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. What will you be doing?
Learning from our experienced engineers while getting hands-on with real construction projects. You’ll help manage daily site activities to keep things running smoothly—on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. As your skills grow, so will your responsibilities, with support from a dedicated mentor.

What you’ll get involved in:
- Designing highway improvements, cycling and road safety schemes
- Creating drawings and reports
- Using design software to develop solutions
- Producing construction-ready design packages
- Writing technical reports
- Visiting sites and carrying out surveys
- Making sure work meets our quality and safety standards
- Working closely with clients to understand project goals
We’re looking for someone who’s eager to learn, motivated, organised, and ready to grow. Don’t worry if you’re not an expert yet—training is part of the journey, and we’re here to support you.
- Knowledge of structures analytical software and its use within a bridges environment (desirable)
- Knowledge of National Highways standards such as the DMRB and MCDHW (preferred)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and Construction Design Management (CDM) in design and construction
- Computer literate particularly with packages such as Microsoft Excel and Word, and AutoCad (desirable)
- Valid UK Driving License
