This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based in Grangemouth. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in the commercial side of the construction industry to develop knowledge, skills and experience whilst studying a relevant degree and receiving guidance from a qualified surveyor.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The successful candidate will enrol onto the BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment (Quantity Surveying) Graduate Apprenticeship, with one of our partners University.
Over 4 years, you will work towards a BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment (Quantity Surveying), as well as chartership with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As a Graduate Apprentice you will be recruited on a permanent contract and after completing your apprenticeship and professional accreditation with the RICS, becoming a Chartered Surveyor, you will have the knowledge, experience and professional membership to progress and be rewarded with a great career at M Group.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Scottish Highers: BBCC or equivalent to include Maths and English
- A Foundation apprenticeship can be accepted in combination with SQA Highers and will be treated as equivalent to a B grade
- A Modern Apprenticeships at SCQF level 6 can be accepted in a relevant discipline which would be equivalent to two Highers at grade B
- Great communication skills and a willingness to learn
- A collaborative approach and a drive to make a difference
- A driving licence and willingness to travel
